What’s in-store for the rest of Summer and Fall in Walt Disney World!?

Walt Disney World opens its gates back up to guests in just a few weeks! But what does the rest of Summer and the beginning of Fall have in store for us?

A Taste of Epcot International Food & Wine Festival

Food & Wine lovers, don’t fret, while we may not have the full Epcot International Food & Wine Festival that we’re used to, we will have a modified version!

Starting on July 15 and running through the Fall, this will be the longest festival yet! Food and Wine Festival veterans will remember favorite global marketplace booths such as Hawaii, Hops & Barley, and Islands of the Caribbean, spaced out around the park. Festival Scavenger Hunt fans will be excited to see Remy’s Ratatouille Hide and Squeak scavenger hunt return this year! With a different Remy in every country, will you be able to find them all?

There will certainly be one thing missing this year – the Eat to the Beat Concert Series we all know and love will take a break for 2020 but there the music will not be totally lost! The America Gardens Theatre will shine with Epcot entertainers spread out through the day giving you more opportunities to enjoy their performances!

Though with loss also comes gains, even though we missed out on another Favorite Epcot Festival, Flower & Garden Festival, we will get some of it sprinkled into the mix. There will be a brand-new Remy topiary featured in the France pavilion. you will also be able to find Flower & Garden Festival merchandise around the park

NBA Takeover

Walt Disney World is going to become NBA Headquarters this summer! The NBA has officially announced that it will finish its 2019-2020 season at Walt Disney World Resort with games and team practices being played at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex throughout the Arena, HP Field House and Visa Athletic Center.

The season will resume on July 30th with 22 teams competing for their spot in the Playoffs. Playoffs will be comprised of the top 16 teams which will continue until the NBA Finals ending no later than October 13th. All games will be played without spectators until further notice.

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

Sadly, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be taking a break for this year. Words still out on if we’ll see some of those adorable Mickey Pumpkins throughout Magic Kingdom though, I certainly hope we will!

What’s left for Walt Disney Studios in 2018?

Disney has started off 2018 really strong with the release of Marvel’s Black Panther and A Wrinkle in Time and Avengers: Infinity War Part 1. We have seen all of them and they were all fantastic! While I think most of us are still recovering from Avengers: Infinity War, let’s take a look at what else Walt Disney Studios has in store for us this year!

Star Wars fans, get ready, we are just a few weeks away from next installment, Han Solo: A Star Wars Story May 25th.

I actually only recently saw the first Incredibles movie and oh my goodness, I can’t believe it took me so long! I am super excited for the next adventure with The Incredibles in The Incredibles 2 coming to theaters June 15th .

2018 is definitely a big year for Marvel! Ant Man may not have made an appearance in Avengers: Infinity War, but he will be getting his own movie in Ant Man and The Wasp coming to theaters July 6th.

We’ll venture back to the Hundred Acre Wood with Christopher Robin coming on August 3rd.

Christmas comes early this year when The Nutcracker and The Four Realms hit theaters November 2nd.

Wreck-It Ralph fans get their next installment with Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 on November 21st. I don’t know about you, but the current trailer out where Ralph feeds the Bunny pancakes made me laugh out loud and was quite fitting for its Thanksgiving relase!

And last but certainly not least, get the family out this Christmas day to see Mary Poppins Returns on December 25th. One of my family traditions for the last few years has been to go and see a movie on Christmas Day, so hopefully this year Mary Poppins Returns will be the winning choice!

Which upcoming Disney release are you most excited for!?!
